Hay Jamie,
Before upgrading your new IMac to Snow Leopard, the just released OSx from Apple.
You need to know that there are big issues with Snow Leopard and Adobe CS4, and Adobe is being Pig Headed about correcting these issues. Quote, we built our product on Leopard and not Snow Leopard, so corrections will have to wait.
So, yes purchase the upgrade, but wait to perform the upgrade until Adobe gets their act together and release CS4 that will work correctly on Snow Leopard.

What if your clients demanded you upgrade to a new camera every time Nikon or Canon announces a new release?
It is more than just saying lets upgrade.
Adobe is busy working on their future plans...so you think they should they be ready to jump when Apples decides to make a move?
I think they have to work with Microsoft too....since they have a new release too.

It looks like it will work with both Adobe Photoshop and the Aperture program that I have. I will not jump on this right now though. I know there were a lot of problems with Windows Vista so I am already a little hesitant about changing from something that works. I guess we will see what the reviews are like.

I'm guessing that Paul Lambert was Beta Testing Snow Leopard to come to the warnings he did post? I belong to Mac Group Detroit, and our President, Terry White is also an Adobe Trainer/Instructor/Rep. I posed Mr. Lambert's comment to him and am awaiting a reply. Terry's advice on any new OS is to install it on an external drive or a partition, keeping your original system intact. I believe Snow Leopard will be in my future, but not at first release.

From the Adobe forums-both CS3 and CS4 work with Snow Leopard, but CS3 is "unsupported"-Adobe won't help if you have problems after upgrading. Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac works too, as does Lightroom 2.
